Your Oral Surgery Visit

Thank you for choosing us for your oral surgery!

To ensure the best outcome for your surgery, please follow these guidelines BEFORE your visit:

  • Nutrition: Patients should consume a light meal prior to the procedure.

  • Hydration: Adequate hydration is strongly advised.

  • Supplements: Optimal vitamin D, C, and K levels are beneficial for post-operative healing.

  • Scheduling: Do not schedule other obligations on the day of the procedure. Due to the unpredictable duration of surgical procedures and the possibility of accommodating emergency cases, delays may occur.

  • Medications: Bring a full list of current medications for clinical review.

  • Clothing: Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.

Financial Note: Please remember that payment in full is due at check-in.  Costs may vary depending on the specific tooth involved. Procedures requiring tooth sectioning or bone smoothing (alveoloplasty) may also incur higher costs.

Post-Operative Instructions

The First 24 Hours

  • Bleeding: Keep firm pressure on the gauze pack for 30–45 minutes. If bleeding continues, replace it with a fresh gauze.

  • Clot Protection: Do not spit, use a straw, or smoke to avoid a "dry socket."

  • Activity: Avoid strenuous physical activity for at least 48 hours.

Healing & Comfort

  • Swelling: Use ice packs in 20-minute intervals for the first day.

  • Diet: Eat soft foods and avoid anything spicy or crunchy until the site heals.

  • Hygiene: Starting tomorrow, gently rinse with warm salt water after meals.
